The Seamaster Cosmic is one of our favorite non-exotic Seamasters from the era because of its large size, classic design, and well-made case with unique "bathysphere" style design that has an inner movement holder that houses the movement.
At a time when the quartz revolution was beginning to take place this watch with automatic Cal. 1010/1012 movement carried on both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Seamaster.
This Cosmic 2000 is large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter by a full 48mm long. It has fully Omega parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. On the wrist it presents as mint.
The Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in Tiffany "robin's egg" blue. The printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement, which winds smoothly and is keeping accurate time. For the finishing touch a new calfskin leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
