The precise Swiss automatic movement DAV 3021ND displays the seconds in addition to the hours and minutes and dispenses with the date display. This creates a perfect symmetry that finds a stage on the dial surface of fine sunburst. The impression and brilliance of fine sunbeams, as experienced on a sunrise in the cockpit, lend the timepiece a touch of subtle sophistication and elegance. RELIABLE READABILITY INSTRUMENT LOOK DIAL A striking triangle marks the "12" o'clock position; in the past, a cursory glance had to suffice for pilots to recognise the position of the hands beyond doubt in order to reliably read the time. The large Arabic numerals and additional indexes as well as the diamond-shaped hands underline the good readability. In addition, all elements are noctilucent thanks to the use of the latest luminous material SuperLumiNova BG W9, which illuminates the dial with a blue glow in the dark. FUNCTIONAL DETAILS GRIP CROWN The conical crown is designed with its shape and external fluting so that it can also be easily operated by gloved hands. An important element, the usual "uniform" of the aviation pioneers of days gone by consisted, among other things, of a leather cap, flying goggles and leather gloves. DAV 3021ND SKELETONISED DAVOSA ROTOR The Newton Pilot is powered by kinetic energy generating by your arm’s movement, which sets the skeletonised, Geneva-striped rotor, visible through the screw-down glass back,in motion. The energy generated in this way tensions the mainspring and builds up a power reserve of about 40 hours. DAVOSA’s watchmakers have regulated the movement with particular precision to achieve a rate deviation corresponding to the elaboré grade.
